Palm Beach Diocesan Council of Catholic Women at 6559 NW 32nd Av, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 US - Certificates of Appreciation

The 2009 Spring General Meeting of the Southern Deanery was hosted by Holy Spirit CCW on March 28th with approximately 80 members present.  We were nourished spiritually with a beautifully concelebrated Mass of  The Eucharist; and physically by  a delicious salad, hot chicken and scrumptious baked goodies  catered by L'Ecole Dining Services (Tom Iannucci) A special dessert with home made whipped cream topped off the luncheon.

Many thanks to Maryann Wunker of St Jude parish, a member of the Right to Lfe group,  who added her expertise on Catholic Days at the Capitol, as she represented the Southern Deanery in this President's absence.
 
The day was highlighted with a salute to WOMEN:, Mothers, Daughters and Friends !        Father Charles Hawkins (Moderator) and  Southern Deanery President, Dolores Hughes then  presented all 10 affiliations  with a Certificate of Appreciation for their various contributions to the mission statement of the NCCW, supporting, empowering and educating Catholic women in spirituality, service and leadership.  
     The Waddington's, the Farr's and the Hughes's were honored for four generations of Women !
Special thanks and good-byes were given to Fr Hawkins who will be leaving us as our SD Moderator.!
How blessed we were to have had such a marvelous priest for the last few years! We'll ceetainly miss you, Fr Hawkins, and your great stories !

Thanks to all the kids who participated in our Environment Project: Children and the Environment: 2 of our Most Precious Resources: Lisa Marie Lepore, a freshman at PJP ll  and her Mom. Kathy,(St Jude/Boca's incoming CCW Secretary !) were on hand to accept some special thank you's !

A good time was had by all, money was raised with the silent auction and cash split raffle, and we are entirely grateful to Holy Spirit, and Fr Ron;  especially Laurie and Tammy, for hosting us and Adrianne for her beauiful voice during the Installation Mass (thanks Sr Frances for all the planning)

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to our New Board / Southern Deanery CCW who take over immediately at convention close.
