         During math class the students will be drilling basic facts and learning to do multiplication problems.  They will also relate multiplication facts to division facts.  Please be sure to drill the multiplication facts.  If students know their facts, they will be able to use them in multiplication and division problems.  Students will be working hard on the accelerated math program.

         Students will be finishing studying about the ocean biome.  They have enjoyed learning about the layers of the ocean, some of the plants and fish that live in the ocean, the landforms that are found under the water, and coral reefs.  Ocean biome projects are due on Wed., Jan. 25.   

         Religion class will center  around the Holy Spirit.  We will be studying how the Spirit helps guide us everyday.   Students will also continue to learn and apply the Commandments and the Beatitudes.

       I will be updating the webpage daily. I WILL list homework, projects and tests daily. Please check the calendar link for upcoming important school and class events. Please note: I WILL NOT be using the homework hotline - I will be using the web site.   This year I will be teaching math, science and Religion to all the fourth graders. Mrs.Lakes will be teaching Language Arts and social studies.


      We will be stressing 3-Ps. They are PRIDE - in self, in family, in school and in Church. The second is PREPARATION - for daily activites, for school, for future activities, for leading a Catholic/Christian life. The final word is PERFORMANCE - in school work, in daily activities in relationships, in behavior and responsibility.
