Donate and Serve a Meal at Pinellas Hope |
Current Need: Pinellas Hope is once again in need of donated "dinners" in 2013. If you or your organization can help, please follow the guidelines below. Pinellas Hope relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to help provide, breakfast, lunch, and dinner to 300 residents.
We always encourage individuals, churches and other civic-minded organizations to help us in our mission by volunteering to serve dinner to our homeless clients. The months of June, July and August have around 20 open dates for volunteers to serve dinners to the homeless. Serving a meal at Pinellas Hope is an especially rewarding experience for the volunteers who come. It is an excellent way for people to express the values of caring and kindness that are so important for our cause. Our clients always enjoy meeting the community and sharing their stories and gratitude at the “dinner table”.
How it works: Individuals and organizations submit a meal form to the Pinellas Hope housing manager letting her know the date and type of meal they would like to donate. The housing manager in turn confirms the information giving the individuals or organization the green light to begin planning their menu for the meal they will donate to Pinellas Hope. The meal is then delivered to Pinellas Hope by the individuals or organizations and served by their volunteers.
