Betsy Miller, a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, has been volunteering at Pinellas Hope since the beginning. Each week, Betsy volunteers her time to help the Pinellas Hope medical respite services, a pilot program that provides temporary emergency shelter for individuals without homes being discharged from the BayCare system who are too medically frail to return to the streets but do not require further hospitalization or skilled nursing facility care.

"The support that volunteers such as Betsy Miller brings to the Pinellas Hope staff is, as they say priceless," says Joy McRae- Fox, Pinellas Hope medical respite coordinator. "She's dedicated and breezes through work that would take me hours to accomplish because of interruptions, crisis of the moment, or phone calls; my sincerest thanks and appreciation go out to Betsy!."
