Sheltering Arms Adult Day Centers, run by Catholic Social Services of Oakland County stands ready to help families with daily care, Monday through Friday (7a- 6p), and now on Saturdays. Experienced staff pro- vides care and a safe, stimulating environment for elderly participants, especially those with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as other adults with brain injuries or diseases who cannot be left at home alone. Adult day care offers families an option to institutional care for elderly loved ones. The centers make it p05sible for family members to go to work, do holiday shopping, take care of young children, attend family activities, run errands, and take some well-deserved time to themselves.
