The core of Rainbows is centered on trust, acceptance and sharing.  It is  no secret that many people are uncomfortable expressing their feelings.  For children, it is even more difficult to put pain into words.  When they do look for ways to articulate their feelings, children often find parents too burdened by the situation to effectively help them express their pain.  Even children who appear to be coping can  be struggling inside with conflicting emotions.  Getting them out is one step toward working them out.

SPACE for Changing Families is offering a new 12-week session beginning this month on Mondays, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Birmingham Temple, 28611 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, 48334.  This session is for elementary school-age children.  SPACE for Changing Families is a nonsectarian community service of the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Detroit Section.  For more information and to register your children, call 248-355-3300, ext. 0.
