Simply - a child's job is to play - at this stage of their development, a child learns through play. It is hard for some parents to accept this idea, but all the experts in the field of early childhood feel strongly on this point. In fact it can be damaging to children who have too much pushed on them too soon. Don't despair though - a good preschool environment is filled with wonderful learning experiences. From the sandbox to blocks to playdough and housekeeping, our children are creating, problem-solving, imagining, discovering and building a foundation for their academic future. Another important facet of our program is learning to interact with their fellow students. They must share, use their manners, and get along with each other. They learn to commuicate by using their words. The children slowly see they are not the center of the universe. Lastly, but most importantly, we exist because of our church. Jesus's teaching is woven throughout the program. Prayer is both spontaneous and structured. The children have to be kind to one another because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
