Drop Off and Pick Up times:

The classroom door will open at 8:55 a.m. and will close at 9:10 .m..  Afternoon preschool's door will open at 11:55 a.m. and close at 12:10 p.m..  We will dismiss, weather permitting, along the school wall.  Parents, please come up to collect your child.   Morning preschool will dismiss at 11:15.  Afternoon preschool will dismiss at 2:15.  When weather is bad, I will release one child at a time to their parents from the southwest door.  We need a note if another care giver or family member will be picking up your child.  Safetey is a top priority!.

Show and Tell:

Show and Tell is the time they may bring ONE item they want to share.  Please try to encourage a toy that lends itself to a learning experience or an interesting discussion.  No guns permitted.  Three year olds have show and tell every Thursday, and the four year olds have theirs every Friday.  Other than Show and Tell days, please do not permit your child to bring any toys from home even if they are safely tucked in their book bag.  They inevitably get lost and they become distracting.

Birthdays are special: 

Please let me know when you are bringing in a birthday treat so we can accomodate food allergies.  Please keep in mind the children's age and their preference of food!  Summer birthdays may be celebrated at the child's half birthday. 


Field Trips:

Four year olds go on 2 field trips per year (fall and spring).  Parents are responsible for taking their child and staying with them throughout the trip.  If you have a conflict, you may arrange to have a family member or frind to be with your child.  On most field trips, sibilings are not permitted so your child will benefit from our activity.

Communication:

We will send general communications and classroom information to you through your child's folder.  This folder is put in his or her backpack every day.  Please feel free to send information to me using this folder.
