Catholic Student Association

The purpose of the Catholic Student Association (CSA) is to love Jesus and glorify him. Our desire is to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout Texas Tech by providing students with opportunities for spiritual growth, serving others, and Christian fellowship. CSA sponsors a variety of events in several different areas. CSA Religious Events Small Faith Groups - Faith-sharing, prayer, Bible Study, and accountability. The best way to make friends and to grow in faith. Dinner & Rosary - Dinner, rosary, then praise and worship. Each Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at the Vowel's house 2518 59th St. "The Rock" - The "Rock Band" leads praise & worship and speakers challenge students to grow in their spiritual life. Thursdays at 8:30 PM in Hanley Hall during the school year. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - Adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament every Thursday from 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM in the chapel. CSA Service Events CSA service projects focus on Catholic social justice principles that benefit St. Elizabeth's, Texas Tech, Lubbock, and the surrounding community. Service projects include: alternative spring break, mission trips, Arbor Day, and blood drives. Please check the calendar for dates and times of these events. CSA Social Events Intramural Sports - Flag football, softball, basketball, soccer, etc... Dollar Dinners - After the student Mass, usually twice a month. Check the calendar for the date of the next dinner. T.G.I.F. - Fun with friends on Friday nights. Check the calendar for the next time and location. Parties - Halloween, Christmas, Mardi Gras, and more. Other - Road trips, karaoke, date auction, formal and many others. Other CSA Events CSA sponsors many events that vary from year to year. Some events have included men's night out, women's night out, nocturnal adoration, busy person's retreat, ask-a-Catholic a question, living Stations of the Cross, and many others.
