Here are some reminders to help you throughout the year:

1.  Label all items such as sweaters, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, etc... The lost and found is located near the church basement.

2.  Check HOME FOLDER daily for behavior  notes and review Monday papers with your child.

3.  Homework will be given every  Wednesday.  .

4.  Students may purchase BREAKFAST in the cafeteria each morning before school begins

5.  Have your student dress appropriately for the weather.  We will be going out for recess as much as possible.

6.  Replace school supplies when needed.  They will bring home a supply list sheet telling you what supplies are needed.

7.  Spend time reading with and to your child each week.  This can include signs on the road, on trucks, menus in restaurants, nametags, emails, directions on food containers, cereal boxes, Happy Meal boxes, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers (be selective), signs on businesses, on doors, in elevators, table tents on tables at restaurants, etc....

8.  Please have your child wear gym shoes on gym days...Thursday. (KIndergarten only) .  Girls should wear shorts under their uniform jumpers and skirts.  Sweat pants are permitted during these colder days at recess.

9.  The School Library Web Page contains information on our school's list of Accelerated Reading Books. This will begin for Kindergarteners after the new year.  When your child finishes reading an AR book in his/her level, please have them let me know and I will test them in the classroom.

10. Birthdays are special...you may bring in a treat to share .  Please consider nut allergies.  We can celebrate in the classroom or you can send it home with each child.
11.  Our morning restroom break and recess time is usually 10:00- 10:25am. 
Afternoon restroom break and recess time is 2:00

12.  Kindergarten will attend mass every Wednesday at 8:30am.  Please join us and sit on the school side of the church.  We sit in the front left pews with our 3rd grade buddies.  (Occasionally, the mass schedule changes due to a holy day or prayer mass, look in the school newsletter for changes.)
Young Fives will attend the afternoon special prayer services.

13  Unless I have a note, I must put your child on the bus as previously arranged.  Kettering bus riders may not take a friend home on the bus.  If you want to invite someone over, you will have to transport them yourself.
