We have a terrific congregation in the Riverside neighborhood of Sioux City. Our parish sits right on the border of Iowa and South Dakota, in the "tri-state" area. We have parishioners from both states that make up our parish community. The wonderful diversity that we experience at Sacred Heart is truly a blessing from God. People from all walks of life, and every age of life come to Sacred Heart to worship the one true God in the best sense of "parish family".
Our modern architecture lends itself to the people bringing the "church building" to life rather than the "church building" bringing the people to life. I like that as a pastor.
We are also home to Sacred Heart School. Kindergarten through 8th grade students come to us from St. Joseph, St. Boniface, and Cathedral of the Epiphany parishes as well as Sacred Heart. Our school is part of the Bishop Heelan Catholic School System of Sioux City. Check out their website as well.
