Thinking about becoming a Catholic, completing your sacraments or renewing your faith? RCIA stands for the "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults". It is a process in the Catholic Church in which people question, learn and come closer to God. It is for that particular individual who wants to become part of a larger community in which they can share and freely express their faith in Jesus.
The main purpose of the rite is to assist prospective Catholics in their journey to becoming active members of the church community. Inquirers can be anyone: not baptized Catholic, but have not received the Eucharist or Confirmation, or have fallen away and need further instruction, baptized in another Christian church but in need of instruction in the Catholic faith.
RCIA for Teens - If you are a teenager who needs to complete your sacraments, RCIA may be for you. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process in which you can question, learn and come closer to God.
