Student Council Elections
Student council speeches will be made on Monday September 13th. Students from grades 6, 7, and 8 may run for student council officers.
Jean Day
Our first jean day for this year will be on Thursday September 16th. Appropriate clothing please. No Baggies, tight jeans or inappropriate shirts. Girls upper toros must be completely covered. Anyone not complying will need to change. The cost is $1.00 to participate. Otherwise you may wear your uniform that day.
I STEP+ TESTS AND IOWAS
The ISTEP+ AND IOWA tests will be administered beginning on September 20th and must be concluded on October 1. It is vitally importatnt that your child get a good nights sleep, and eat a good breakfast and come prepared to take the test and do a good job. Anyone failing either one of these tests will have to attend summer school. Please have your child bring several #2 pencils to school with them during these two weeks.
Market Day
Market Day orders are due online by Saturday September 18 by 12:00 Noon. Got to Marketday.com. Pick up will take place on Wednesday September 22nd from 4:00pm - 5:00pm in the school gym. Help is needed for market day. This will count towards your service hours. Please callthe school office at 219-932-2686 if you can help.
Fun Friday
The first fun Friday will take place on Friday September 24. Fun Friday happens once a month. For fifty cents students will get a "mystery treat".
Family Mass
This month's Family mass will take place on Sunday September 26th at the 9:30 am mass. During the mass, students are lectors, ushers, and bring up the offertory gifts. Please plan on coming to mass as a family to pray together.
Bake Sale to Follow Family Mass
Kindergarten and Eighth grade will host a bake sale after the family mass. It will take place inthe blue room foyer.
Can Day
Can day will take place on Friday September 30th. Plaese bring your flattened cans in a paper sack to the school courtyard before school. Any student bringing an entire paper bag will recieve a N.U.T. card (no uniform today).
Volunteers Needed
Help is needed in the lunchroom, recess, and after school, playground/parking patrol. Please contact the office if you are interested. This time will count towards your service hours. Please contact the office if you can be of service.
