It’s fall and it’s time to have fun with the St. Gabriel Youth Group! Bring your friends and join us. Questions? Leave your name and number on the Hotline and we’ll call you…or better yet… email us anytime! To attend each event, YOU MUST RSVP by email or to our Youth Hotline (704-362-5047 ext.270). Just leave your name and number and plan on attending (unless the hotline says the event is sold out) even if you’re calling at the last minute!! More event details on the Hotline!
Sept. 17 (Thurs.) Mr. Food Cooking Class and Dinner 5:00-6:30 Use your cooking skills as we
prepare dinner to take home to your family! Meet at Mr. Foods in the Providence Plaza across from
St. Gabes. Dinner will be provided for us while we prepare a dinner for 4 for each child to take
home to enjoy later. Pick up at Mr. Foods at 6:30. Total cost is $20.00.
Oct.13 (Tues.) A Good Ol’ Fashion Mystery Dinner (hummmmm…..) 5:00-6:30pm Cafeteria
Come hang out with your friends and join us for dinner in a mysterious way….then we’ll help others
by providing them with your left over school supplies. Bring a few to stuff used backpacks! We have
a busy night planned…! We will also be collecting loads of sample size products (hotel freebies!!),
toothbrushes/ toothpaste, shampoo, etc! $2.00
Oct.4 (Sun.) Crop Walk 2:30 Encourage your family to sign-up!! We would love your whole family to walk with us! If your family chooses to walk, feel free to meet up with us. If a parent cannot attend, come walk with us…but this must be pre-arranged with Lisa or Denise. Let’s show everyone…the youth have power in numbers!!! Details on location and where to meet will be on the hotline closer to event.
Nov. 1 (Sun.) 3:00-7:00 A BUS RIDE TO THE MAIZE MAZE AND DINNER – We will be going
to the giant corn maze and a cook-out! We will leave St. Gabe’s by bus at 3:00 p.m. and return
at 7:00 p.m. $10 MUST MUST MUST RSVP **please call early…this event always sells out!**
Nov. 5 (Thurs) Gift Making 5:00-6:30 Join us for an awesome service project while having lots
of fun. Come make several gifts to give to people who need to smile! Bring friends and have dinner with
us! Meet in the school lobby. $2
Nov. 18 (Wed.) Kabuto’s and Loaves and Fishes 4:00-7:00pm We will be helping with the Loaves and Fishes Ministry and then walking over to Kabuto’s for dinner. The Loaves and Fishes Ministry is located at 648 Griffith (turn left onto Old Pineville off Tyvola, go 1/3 mi, turn rt. onto Griffith, go ½ mi, left into Fordham Park, docks 11-15, Denise’s cell if lost 704-231-8664.) Meet at Loaves and Fishes and pick-up will be discussed at drop-off! Please try to collect as many cans of food as possible to bring with you. A neighborhood collection is a great idea! Please, Please, Please RSVP. This event always sells out. Dinner $9.
Dec.7 (Mon.) 6:00-7:30 Stocking Making… Back by demand…
Join us with a bag or two of wrapped candy as we create and fill as many Christmas
stockings as possible! We are sure to make some families smile with our creative
stockings. Feel free to bring little goodies/necessities instead of candy if you choose.…
Meet at St. Gabe’s in the Library. $2 for dinner!!
