Alcohólicos Anónimos"

Viendo la necesidad en nuestra comunidad, en 1999 El grupo de Alcohólicos Anónimos en Español fue introducido a San Mateo. En el programa de Alcohólicos Anónimos se hacen reuniones para asistir personas con problemas de alcohol o reuniones para familiares que buscan información para un ser querido o una persona conocida con problemas de alcohol.

El grupo se reúne todos los Viernes y Sábados a las 8:30pm. y todos los Domingos a las 2:00pm.

Altar Guild"

The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers committed to help maintain the sanctuary of St. Matthew Catholic Church as a place of worship and meditation at all times. We do light housekeeping every Thursday after the morning Mass. This includes dusting, watering the plants and floral arrangements, replacing candles and votives, and polishing the sacred vessels. The group is also responsible for the laundry for the altar linens.

Altar Server

Altar servers at St. Matthew assist the priest in the celebration of Mass, weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies connected with the Sacred Liturgy of the Church. Servers are trained to prepare the sanctuary and altar for Mass or other ceremonies. They assist at these ceremonies and also help the priest with "clean-up" duties in the sanctuary and the sacristy. Altar servers give glory to God by their presence in the sanctuary, and they offer inspiration to the faithful by their participation in the liturgy.  Requirements for becoming an altar server are that you must have been baptized and received your First Holy Communion. Both children and adults are welcomed as altar servers.

Servidores de Altar

Los servidores del altar son las personas encargadas de ayudar al sacerdote durante la Misa o Eucaristía. Los servidores del altar se dividen en Acólitos y Portador de la Cruz: Acólitos-son los encargados de ayudar al sacerdote en la Eucaristía y preparar el altar para la bendición del vino y el pan que se convierten en el cuerpo y la sangre de Jesús y la procesión para las ofrendas. Portador de la Cruz-lleva la cruz durante la procesión hacia el altar, al terminar la Misa y asistir a los Acólitos. Requisitos- debe tener todos sus sacramentos, estar dispuestos a servir a Dios, recibir entrenamiento, aprender los nombres de lo que se usa durante la misa, estar 30 minutos antes de la Misa (para hacer oración y vestirse) y ser responsables. Los Portadores de la Cruz pueden ser los que están por hacer la primera comunión.

Art & Environment
 
These ministers serve by planning and decorating the sanctuary for the different liturgical seasons.  They work in conjunction with the Altar Guild and the pastor. We are looking for members who are creative, artsy, or just enjoy pitching in and lending a hand to ensure that the church looks beautiful at all times, but especially during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

Baptism Preparation Class
 
Volunteers are needed on an occasional basis to assist the deacon in conducting a monthly Baptism preparation class for adults planning to have a child Baptized at St. Matthew.

Bereavement/Reception Ministry
 
This is a group of caring volunteers who will be “on call” to pitch in and help prepare a reception for the family of a deceased member of our parish following a funeral or memorial service. We need a coordinator for this group, as well as many volunteers to assist with food preparation and clean up. 
The time commitment is minimal, but the service is of great importance to a grieving family.

Bible Study
 
The Bible Study Group meets August through May on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month in Hedges Hall at 9:45 AM. New members are always welcome to join us. We read and discuss Scripture to gain a better understanding and increased knowledge of God’s Word

Building and Grounds Maintenance
 
There is always a need for assistance in the maintenance of the grounds (mowing, trimming and general clean up), as well as the general upkeep of the church, social hall and education buildings (which can include painting, electrical, heating and air, plumbing, etc). Get involved a little or more frequently, as your schedule permits.

Choir-Adults
 
St. Matthew has a group of talented and dedicated singers who enhance our weekly Liturgies by raising their voices in song and praise to the Lord. New members are always welcome. Practices are generally held prior to each mass, except during the weeks immediately preceding the Easter and Christmas seasons or when other special celebrations are being planned. At these times, additional rehearsals are necessary.

Coro de Adultos
 
San Mateo tiene un grupo de cantantes talentosos dedicados aumentar nuestras Liturgias semanales, levantando sus voces en la canción y el elogio al Señor. Nuevos miembros son siempre bienvenidos. This group is a way to network within our parish community by coming together and assisting one another in finding the resources and contacts necessary to make your job search a success. Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers
 
Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers are those volunteers who have been trained to assist the Priest in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass.  Due to the sacred nature of the Eucharist, participation in a one day instructional course is required, resulting in a certification by the Archdiocese. Following this training, these ministers are appointed by the Archbishop for a specific term to distribute Holy Eucharist at Mass.

Este ministerio es sin duda alguna, el ministerio en el cual estamos mas cerca del Señor, pues nosotros como personas laicas que somos, tenemos la oportunidad de tomar en nuestras manos su Preciosísima Sangre y su bendito Cuerpo, a Jesús sacramentado en cuerpo y alma, con el permiso de la Iglesia para compartirlo y darlo a los demás hermanos. Los requisitos que la Santa Iglesia pide son:
- Tener todos los Sacramentos, ser activo en la parroquia y si vives en pareja, deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica. 

Estamos en busca de candidatos que quieran servirle al Señor, al igual que un líder para este Ministerio.

Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound
 
These ministers deliver the sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to the homebound, sick and nursing home residents.  Must be trained & certified Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers to participate.

Finance Council
 
The Finance Council advises the pastor in matters of financial planning, fiscal management and budgeting to ensure financial accountability to the parish. Members of the Finance Council are selected by the pastor and the president of the council.

Garden Club
 
The Garden Club serves to enhance and beautify our church grounds. Our objective is to provide the church with a setting that will draw people in and make them feel welcome and comfortable. We are the lay volunteers who tend, water and weed the various gardens on the church grounds.
We are always in need of fresh ideas and new talent. One qualification is a willingness to share your ideas and talents!

We are an unstructured ministry and there are no regular meetings to attend. We do have two annual planting days, one in the spring and one in the fall. The church grounds are divided into various gardens and adopted by “Garden Guardians”. We also help with the maintenance of these gardens as needed. We welcome all newcomers!

Club de Jardinería
 
El Club de Jardinería sirve para aumentar y embellecer nuestra iglesia. Nuestro objetivo es de proporcionar la iglesia con una colocación que atraerá a personas y los haga sentir se bienvenidos y cómodos. Estamos siempre necesitando ideas frescas y nuevo talento. ¡No hay requisitos, solo se necesita su consentimiento de compartir sus ideas y los talentos! Somos un ministerio sin forma y no hay que asistir a reuniones regularmente. Tenemos dos días anuales de plantar, uno en la primavera y el otro en el otoño. El terreno de la iglesia es dividido en varios jardines y son adoptados por "Guardianes del Jardín". Ayudamos también con la conservación de estos jardines cuando sea necesario. ¡Damos la bienvenida a todos nuevos feligreses! Si tiene cualquier pregunta por favor de llamarnos. Somos los voluntarios que tienden, riegan y deshierban los varios jardines en el terreno de la iglesia.

Inasmuch Ministry
 
This ministry affords the total parish community the opportunity to respond to the needs of others with gifts and talents that may not have previously been used in a ministry. This committee plans, coordinates and implements quarterly work weekends to assist other parishioners who have needs around their homes such as yard work, cleaning, minor repairs, etc. that they are unable to take care of for themselves. An appreciation dinner is usually held following the work weekend. When we all pitch in and help, the tasks get done so much more easily. Please join us and lend a helping hand to your parish neighbors in need.

Joys and Concerns Ministry
 
The purpose of this group is to share care and concern in time of need and sorrow, and to join together to celebrate the joys in our community. Prayer chains are a vital part of this ministry. Other activities include visits, meals, and sending cards.

Junior Youth Group
 
"Matthew's Young Disciples"- Open to all boys and girls in     grades 6 - 8.  The group meets for a combination of faith formation and social activities. We go on retreats and perform community service projects. Everything we do is undertaken in a relaxed and fun manner. You are encouraged to get your children involved in our group and we’re sure they will thank you for it!

"San Mateo Jóvenes Discípulos" - Abierto a todos chicos y chicas en grados 6 - 8. El grupo es una combinación de la formación de la fe y actividades sociales. Knights of Columbus
 
The St. Matthew Knights of Columbus meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the parish social hall.  The first meeting of the month is a business meeting for members only.  The second meeting of the month is a social meeting and is open to all interested men.  Membership candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a Catholic male in good standing with the church.

Lector
 
Lectors serve to proclaim the Word of God at the Divine Liturgy.  In preparation for Mass, the lector becomes immersed in God’s Word so that it may be proclaimed from the heart, and the meaning come forth as God intended. To be a lector, one must be able to read aloud and have a clear, strong speaking voice. Training is provided for those who are interested in this ministry. This is a great opportunity for those who are unable to become involved in other parish activities that require attendance at functions during the workweek.

La palabra de Dios es un relato de la relación entre Dios y el hombre. A través de sus escritos Dios se revela a si mismo y da a conocer su voluntad y su propósito redentor. Para revelarse al hombre, Dios utilizo sus discípulos que fueron seres humanos inspirados por su Espíritu Santo. El Ministerio de Lectores es uno de suma importancia y dignidad, pues tenemos la responsabilidad de comunicar en una manera clara y efectiva el mensaje de La Palabra de Dios a todas las personas congregadas en la iglesia. Cuando leemos las Sagradas Escrituras en la iglesia, Dios mismo habla a su pueblo a través de sus Lectores. La persona en este Ministerio debe ser:
-Católico practico, creyente y que haya recibido todos los Sacramentos de la iglesia
-Persona que demuestren su fe, tanto en la iglesia como en la comunidad y en su círculo familiar.
-Miembro de la comunidad que inspire confianza y respeto a todos; un ejemplo a seguir por todos los miembros de la iglesia.
-Responsable y realmente interesado en servir a su iglesia.

Liturgical Actors Guild
 
Calling all actors! You are invited to join us as we come together to plan and produce periodic performances of a religious nature to promote awareness of the liturgical seasons in our church. We anticipate producing several plays throughout the year, as well as a specific performance for the Christmas and Easter seasons, and for the “Our Lady of Guadalupe” celebration. We need a chairperson for this guild as well as actors of all ages. In addition, we welcome members who would like to help us with planning and producing scenery and props for the plays.

Liturgy Ministry
 
The pastor is currently in need of a volunteer Liturgy coordinator to assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of various liturgical celebrations throughout the year. This ministry will be responsible for preparing written materials for the Liturgies, over seeing assignments for ministers and coordinating the music, as well as ensuring that the art and environment are appropriate for the Liturgy. 

Knowledge of Liturgical policies and procedures is desirable for this position.

Cristo Renueva su Parroquia
 
Es un proceso efectivo de renovación espiritual el cual une los miembros de una parroquia para poder experimentar conversión personal y comunidad cristiana en el ambiente de su parroquia. El fin de estos retiros es transformar la vida de hombres darles ha conocer el verdadero amor de Dios, este retiro es inspirado en las sagradas escrituras, los hombres que viven este retiro se comprometen ha servir en su parroquia en los diferentes ministerios. El proceso de este retiro es tener una preparación aproximadamente de seis meses para poder servirlo y así mismo poderles transferir el mismo amor y gozo que Dios hace en cada uno de ellos.

Ministerio Guadalupano
 
El Ministerio de la Virgen de Guadalupe consiste en recaudar los fondos necesarios para la celebración que lleva acabo el 2 de Diciembre. En el mes de Noviembre y Diciembre reunimos familias para rezar el rosario en sus casas. El comité organiza el mariachi, los cantos, danzas y la obra para la celebración de la Virgen de Guadalupe. El Ministerio también busca familias que donen comida par la celebración.

Newsletter/Directory/Photography
 
We would like to begin publishing a quarterly parish newsletter with creative writings, articles & photographs submitted by members of the parish and our own newspaper staff. We are looking for an editor for the newsletter, volunteer staff members & contributors (either on a regular or a one-time only basis). If you enjoy writing or editing, please volunteer and help us make our dream of a parish newsletter become a reality.

Nursery
 
The nursery presently serves the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass.  Children ages newborn to 4 years old are welcome.  Additional volunteers to help staff the nursery are needed. We would like to provide nursery service at other mass times and need more volunteers to accomplish this. No certification is required, but training in CPR will be provided for anyone interested but not currently trained. We encourage mature teens to assist our adults in this fun atmosphere.

Office Volunteer
 
Help out in the church office answering phones, taking messages, placing inserts in bulletins, filing, or performing other clerical duties. Volunteers can sign up for a regular time slot or come in on an “as-needed” basis as your schedule allows.

Pastoral Council
 
This is a group of persons chosen by the Pastor to provide advice and support to him in various aspects of church life.  Meetings are held quarterly.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Ministry
 
In the early summer of 2007, when St. Matthew opened its new church building, parishioners were thrilled to see the Eucharistic Adoration chapel as they walked into the front foyer. The chapel was an integral part of the original plans for the new sanctuary building.
 
When liturgies were begun in the new church proper, Wednesday and Friday adoration became a part of the parish’s schedule, continuing a tradition from the old church. In the Fall of 2007, Thursday joined the days on which adoration was offered at St. Matthew.
 
Following the visitation of Fr. Larry Villone of the Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament at the beginning of Lent 2008, a campaign was begun to enlist the entire congregation in perpetual Eucharistic adoration. An overwhelming response to Fr. Larry’s invitation to “sign up” excited our pastor and advocates of this program. Through the efforts of a dedicated committee, St. Matthew began perpetual adoration on Divine Mercy Sunday, March 30, 2008.
Many people have heard the promptings of the Holy Spirit and joined the organizational team:
 
Division Leaders – who keep the hourly schedule for a division (midnight – 6AM; 6AM – Noon; Noon – 6PM; and 6PM – midnight) and give that schedule to the coordinator on a weekly basis;
 
Hourly Captains – who are responsible for having their hour filled during each day of the week, and who give the weekly schedule to their division leader.
 
Guardians (adorers) – who show up weekly at their assigned hour to visit with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and who engage substitutes if they are unable to be there;
 
Coordinators – who provide oversight of the program and send copies of the weekly schedule to the pastor and post it in the chapel and on the website;
 
All of these people have joined together to make this ministry a reality. Most of all, the St. Matthew parishioners as a whole have responded to the calling deep in their hearts from Jesus to “come spend an hour with Me…”.
 
Don’t be left out! Hourly captains are always needed, as are adorers and substitutes for those already committed.

Religious Education Catechist
 
The parish offers a Religious Education program for children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Instructors are always needed to teach and share our Catholic faith with the children of our parish. The catechists (teachers) are constantly urged to teach the importance of daily prayer and participation at weekly mass. Classes begin the 3rd Sunday of August and end the 1st Sunday after Mother's Day, and usually run between mass times on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  Please consider volunteering your time to become a teacher or an assistant in one of our classes and also enroll your children in our program. Materials and training are provided. You do not need to be a certified teacher to volunteer. The only qualification needed is a love of children and a desire to share our Catholic faith.

Catequista de Educación Religiosa
 
La parroquia ofrece un programa Religioso de Educación para niños Kindergarten hasta el grado duodécimo. Siempre hay necesidad de instructores para enseñar y compartir nuestra fe católica con los niños de nuestra parroquia. Los catequistas (maestros) son muy importantes en la enseñanza de la oración y la participación diarias de la Misa semanal. Las clases empiezan el tercer Domingo de agosto y terminan el primer Domingo después del Día de las Madres, y corren generalmente entre tiempos masivos el domingo por la mañana y las tardes de el Miércoles. Considere ofrecer su tiempo de llegar a ser un maestro o un ayudante en uno de nuestras clases y se matricula también a sus niños en nuestro programa. Las materias y la instrucción son proporcionadas. Usted no necesita ser un maestro certificado para ofrecerse. El único requisito necesitado es un amor de niños y un deseo de compartir nuestra fe católica.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

A process of initiation through which new members are brought into the Roman Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist).
 
This process is for adults who have not been baptized, or baptized in another denomination. Each person wishing to be initiated into the Catholic Church is assigned a sponsor who is a guide and traveling companion for the journey. This process is also open to adult Catholics who have not received First Eucharist and Confirmation.
 
Meetings are scheduled on Sundays after the 10:30 Mass from August until April.
 
Catechists, facilitators and sponsors are needed.

Respect Life Ministry
 
This ministry consists of lay volunteers whose goal and mission is to restore to the parish community the respect God calls for relative to all forms of human life - from fertilization until natural death.  These volunteers work to follow the mandate of the Pope. Various programs may be implemented during the year, including activities related to Respect Life Month in October and the Pro Life March in January.  We want to educate our parishioners on the negative impact of abortion, support crisis pregnancies and those who have had an abortion, as well as educate people on legislative efforts with respect to life.
We need active volunteers. Please consider becoming involved in this important ministry.

Derecho a la Vida
 
Este ministerio consiste en voluntarios cuya meta y misión es de restaurar a la comunidad en la parroquia el llamado de Dios respecto a todas formas de la vida humana - de la fecundación hasta la muerte natural. Estos voluntarios trabajan para seguir el mandato del Papa. Varios programas pueden ser aplicados durante el año, inclusive actividades relacionadas para Mes de Respetar la Vida en Octubre y la Marcha Pro Vida en el Mes de Enero. Rosary Prayer Group
 
The St. Matthew Rosary Prayer Group is an informal group that gathers 30 minutes before mass on Monday, Thursday and Friday to pray the rosary aloud. 

All are encouraged to join anytime you are available.

El grupo de oración es una comunidad de hermanos católicos apostólicos y romanos que se reúnen con cristo para: Tomar conciencia de que Dios nos ama, lo cual al experimentarse lo lleva a uno a alabar al Señor. Esta oración es espontánea, gozosa y guiada por el espíritu santo. 
 
El grupo de ovación “Inmaculado Corazón de María” te invita alabar y bendecid el nombre de “Jesús” y recibir de todas sus bendiciones, pero sobre todo a pasar un momento a los pies de “Jesús”. El grupo de oración se reúne todos los Lunes a las 7:00pm en la iglesia.

Sacristans
 
Our Sacristans are a special group of “behind the scenes” volunteers who prepare the sanctuary for each Mass. 

Duties include – Ensuring that all assigned liturgical ministers have arrived; checking that the altar linens being used are the proper color for the liturgical season; helping the priest with garments worn for Mass; and verifying that all items needed for Mass have been prepared and are in place. Necessary training will be provided and new Sacristans are always welcomed.

Senior Youth Group LifeTeen
 
The parish has a youth ministry which is centered on liturgy and the Eucharist.  Our LifeTeen program, offered for 9th – 12th grade students, encourages teens to embark on a journey of faith and deepen their relationship with God. At the Sunday evening 6PM weekly LifeTeen Mass, teens enter into authentic and full worship of God with a faith community of peers, families and adult ministers. The teens experience Christ’s power and love through praise, prayer and breaking open the Word in scripture. Mass is generally followed by class and/or social and sports activities. LifeTeen usually holds 2 retreats a year – one here at the parish and another at an offsite location to provide an opportunity for immersing the teens in spiritual development over the course of a long weekend. Active involvement in the LifeTeen program is a pre-requisite for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Our group is very active and growing and we welcome all high school teens to join us. We also need adult core members to help organize and lead our teens.

Grupo de Jóvenes “LifeTeen”
 
La parroquia tiene un ministerio de la juventud que es cifrado en liturgia y la Eucaristía. Nuestro programa de LifeTeen, es ofrecido a estudiantes en el noveno -duodécimos grado. El ministerio anima a jóvenes para embarcar en un viaje de la fe y profundizar su relación con Dios. Todos los Domingos celebramos la Misa de LifeTeen a las 6PM, los jóvenes entran en el culto auténtico y repleto de Dios con la fe de la comunidad, al igual, las familias y ministros adultos. Los jóvenes experimentan el poder de Cristo y el amor en alabanza; y la oración de la Palabra en la escritura. Después de la Misa, hay una clase social con actividades y deportes. LifeTeen tiene generalmente 2 retiros al año – uno aquí en la parroquia y otro en una ubicación de las afueras, una oportunidad para que los jóvenes se sumerjan en el desarrollo espiritual sobre el curso de un fin de semana. LifeTeen abarca también un aspecto social y las actividades divertidas son planeadas con regularidad (las noches de juego, boliche, películas, y deportes, etc.). La participación activa en el programa de LifeTeen es el requisito para recibir el Sacramento de la Confirmación. Nuestro grupo es muy activo y creciendo, le damos la bienvenida a todos los jóvenes de 9-12 grado a unirse a nuestro grupo. Necesitamos también a miembros adultos para ayudar a organizar y dirigir a nuestros jóvenes.

Social Committee
 
Our parish Social Committee consists of lay volunteers who plan, organize and run the social events which are for the benefit of the entire parish.  Some of these events include - Annual Parish Picnic; Thanksgiving luncheon; Christmas Party; Family Night Covered Dish Suppers; Receptions for Archbishop Visits. Our mission is to foster a sense of community and to encourage the growth and participation of the entire congregation in social activities.

St. Vincent de Paul Society
 
The parish St. Vincent de Paul Society is a non-profit, social service organization dedicated and open to serving anyone during times of need.  The Society is a branch of an international organization of lay people active in over 135 countries.  It provides a variety of services and programs that offer assistance in the form of financial aid, education and training, temporary housing, clothing and good works.  Our local St. Vincent de Paul Society meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in Hedges Hall.  Our second meeting each month is held the third Monday at 7:00 P.M. in Hedges Hall.  All are invited to both meetings. For more information on the Society or any of its programs or services, please visit the St. Vincent de Paul website at www.svdpatl.org.

Stewardship Committee
 
Promoting the Stewardship of time, talent and treasure is vital to the life of the parish. This committee is primarily responsible for managing the stewardship program of St. Matthew. The Stewardship Committee is in charge of organizing an annual Stewardship Fair to encourage all parishioners to pledge their time, talent and treasure to accomplish the Lord’s work at St. Matthew. The committee is also responsible for compiling, updating and distributing the Stewardship Booklet and pledge cards annually and disseminating information to the ministries regarding parishioners who have expressed an interest in becoming involved in the various groups.

Ultreya/Cursillo
 
Open to men and women seeking to deepen their relationship with God.  Cursillo is a 3-day retreat designed as a "short course in Christian Living" with speakers and activities to enlighten, renew and strengthen ones relationship with God, family and community.  Ultreya is a monthly pot-lunch get-together for those who have experienced a Cursillo weekend, and those who wish to know more about Cursillo. Ultreya meets the 2nd Sunday of the month at 6:00 PM at the Carmel Retreat Center in Hoschton. All are welcome.

Usher/Greeter
 
This important ministry has evolved into one that involves both coordination and leadership. The Usher Coordinator assists the Sacristan in being responsible for ensuring that all who are assigned to serve in the various liturgical ministries of the mass are present for that Mass. All ushers are also assigned the duty of Welcoming parishioners and visitors as they come into our worship space. Ushers shall assist those attending mass in finding adequate seating in the pews.  This is especially important when Mass is full.

Offering and Second Collections - The ushers are responsible for handling all offertory & second collections in an orderly manner and for depositing the funds received into security bags dropped into the safe.

Communion - The ushers are also responsible for guiding the parishioners in an orderly manner to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

At Mass Conclusion - The ushers distribute weekly bulletins as parishioners depart. Adult men and women and mature teens are invited to participate.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
 
Our parish offers a summer bible school for all children ages 6 to 12 years old, which incorporates Bible lessons, summer fun, and service into a one week program. Both a morning and an evening session are being offered. Middle and high school students may become involved in the weekly program as volunteers. We are always in need of adult volunteers - for planning, drama, decorations, crafts, games, group leaders, snacks, registration and lots more. 

Training is available and the only qualification needed is a desire to share your love of Christ with our children. It’s loads of fun – come join us this summer. Time commitment varies.

Estudio Bíblico de Verano
 
Nuestra parroquia ofrece una escuela de verano Bíblica para los niños de 6 a de 12 años de edad, que incorpora las lecciones de la Biblia, la diversión del verano, y el servicio en un programa de una semana. Se ofrecen dos sesiones una en la mañana y una sesión en la noche.. Los estudiantes de LifeTeen pueden inscribirse en el programa semanal como voluntarios. Wedding Ministry
 
Wedding committee members assist the bride and groom in the preparation of their wedding, at the rehearsal, and on their wedding day. The committee member assigned to a couple will advise them and their families on the policies and procedures our church has adopted with respect to non-liturgical issues. We welcome new members who may enjoy being involved with engaged couples and their families and the planning of their special day.

The Welcoming Committee is a group of caring parishioners who enjoy meeting our newcomers to the parish. These volunteers call or write to newly registered parishioners and extend personal greetings, offer information and answer questions and generally assist the newcomers in becoming acquainted with people and activities at St. Matthew. 
 
The committee will host a quarterly wine and cheese social for new members and do everything possible to ensure that new parishioners find a place of warm welcome here at St. Matthew.

Women's Club
 
St. Matthew Women’s Club meets from August through May on the second Tuesday of every month in Hedges Hall at 7:00 PM. 

The purpose of this group is to promote spiritual growth and community awareness through programs and projects of special interest to the women of the parish. It is also an avenue which provides a means whereby parish women can find friendship and a means of service and fulfillment in the religious community. Our goal is to support all church activities, and whenever necessary, to serve as the official hostesses, and to render assistance to the pastor, as needed.  All women of the parish are invited and encouraged to attend our meetings and become involved.

Club de Damas

El Club de Damas en San Mateo se reúne de Agosto hasta Mayo en el segundo Martes de todos los meses en Salón Social a las 7:00 de la tarde. El propósito de este grupo es de promover el conocimiento del desarrollo espiritual y la comunidad por programas y proyectos del interés a las mujeres de la parroquia. Es también una avenida que proporciona a las mujeres un medio por lo cual puede encontrar amistades y en cumplimiento se desempeñe en la comunidad religiosa. La meta es de sostener todas actividades de la iglesia, y siempre que sea necesario, para servir como sus anfitrionas oficiales, y para rendir ayuda al sacerdote, como sea necesario. Todas las mujeres de la parroquia son invitadas y son alentadas a asistir a nuestras reuniones y se unan al club.
