Parishioners who are of high school age or older are eligible to become lectors for the Masses on Sundays and holydays. The purpose of this group is to convey God’s word and lead the Prayers of the Faithful and to make other announcements in an articulate and meaningful manner. An initial training and orientation session is held for all prospective lectors. A guidance booklet is provided to the lectors to help them prepare for the scripture readings.
