New Web Host for the Parish Opens New Forum For Evangelization

The Web Development Ministry of the San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila Parish, on its second year, has given the parish website a fresh, new look and a new home at http://www.sanlorenzoruizparish.catholicweb.com. Many of the original web pages were retained but a whole lot more interesting and helpful features were also included. This was made possible because of the new web host, CatholicWeb.com – an internet company connecting the Catholic faith online and providing free websites to official Catholic churches, dioceses, schools, organizations, youth groups and ministries. Some Catholic media partners also help as sponsors in hosting the church site.
Another newly-launched project of the Web Development Ministry is the online home of the San Lorenzo Ruiz Charity Inc. (SLRCI), the social welfare arm of the parish. You may visit the charity foundation on the net at: http://www.slrci.catholicweb.com.
In a related development, Mr. Dennis Dayao, Head of Content Development, CBCPWorld.com (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines’ Network Service Provider) personally commended our parish for being at the frontline in “making the Internet a new forum to spread the Gospel message.” He said that “it’s a wonderful development and it is good that your parish has extended its reach, and you are devoting a ministry for it. I would like to personally commend you for this because only few parishes realize the importance of having a presence in the cyber world.” He further added, “We will keep your URL (web address) and include it in our listing (directory).”
Emily Galang-Sequeira who heads the ministry continues to invite everyone to visit the parish website and navigate its new, informative and faith-filled web pages. Watch out also for refreshing and spiritually-uplifting additions and updates to its web contents!
