St. Anthony Religious Education at 270 Diamond Bridge Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ 07506 US - RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS AND INFORMATION!

Please note: Religious Education Classes WILL NOT be held Feb. 19th & 20th due to the President's Day Holiday Weekend. Classes will resume the following week at their normal place and time. (The Religious Education Office will also be closed Feb. 20-24).

The Religious Education Office is open Monday - Friday 9 AM until 3 PM. The Office is located on the first floor of St. Anthony School.

Our next Family Catechetical Session for students in grades 1-8 with their parents is scheduled for Tues. Feb. 28th, 2012 from 7 - 8:30 pm in the St. Anthony School Cafeteria.

Our next Sacramental Preparation Session for students in grades 3 and above with their parents will take place on March 13th from 7 - 8:00 pm in the second floor 8th grade classroom at St. Anthony School. 
 
Remember: Children's Liturgy is held every Sunday morning at the 10AM Mass. Children are led to a separate worship area with their facilitators to reflect on the readings and participate in shared prayer before returning to the main church. We are always in need of Catechist assistants for our Sunday, Monday 2011-2012 Program Year Class Sessions. If you are interested in assisting as a catechist, catechist assistant, or hall monitor please contact us. Please click on this link for a You tube Video about being a catechist.
 
Please support "Scrip" which is a retail gift card fundraising program for our parish. You can purchase gift cards to Automotive, Travel, Restaurants and retail stores. A portion of all sales will go to our parish. Scrip is sold after all Masses at the Main doors of our Church. In addition, please go to: www.marketday.com to order delicious food items for your dinner table. Marketday is a fundraising effort for the benefit of our parish and parish school.

The Roman Missal which is the primary ritual text for the celebration of the Mass has been updated with new responses to parts of the Mass that will take effect beginning November 27, 2011. To better familiarize yourself with the upcoming changes please click here.
