PARISH LIFE
Parish Life is a vital organization within our Parish Family. This Commission identifies the needs for social and communal activities and programs that will strengthen the faith community and give all parishioners a sense of belonging. Several events that are sponsored by Parish Life are:
-
The Feast Day of St. Catherine of Siena
-
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt
-
Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus
-
The St. Patrick's Day Dance and Party
Parish Life also sponsors the majority of our Donut Sundays.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Director of Religious Education is Shirley Brown. Religious Education leads the Communion Preparation, Confirmation Preparation, and public school education. Religious Education is in directed with the Love of God to continually educate our parishioners with a concentration on our children. Any one interested in helping with the Religious formation of our children should contact Mrs. Brown.
FUNERAL LUNCHEONS
We at St. Catherine of Siena offer funeral luncheons to our parishioners. As you say farewell to your loved one, the faith community of St. Catherine's would like to offer assistance by preparing a funeral luncheon for your family and friends, provided the services are held through St. Catherine of Siena Parish. In order to service you we will need to know the following things:
- The approximate number of people you expect.
- Your choice of Beef, Chicken, or Sausage & Sauerkraut. You can order one meat item, or all three. The meat will be ordered from VanTil's. The family is asked to be responsible for the cost of the meat.
- Our Parish Family will donate all the side dishes and services.
To obtain further information you may contact Donna Grzych at (219) 844-8280 or the Parish Office at (219) 845-1939.
STEWARDSHIP
Stewardship is a call to discipleship, a call to conversion of every baptized person. Stewardship is rooted in an understanding of who we are in relationship with God. All that we are and all that we have by way of time on this earth, and talent and material resources are gifts from God. We are only stewards of these gifts. The mission and purpose of the Stewardship Commission is to create a Stewardship Parish through ongoing formation that will lead the people to a true conversion - to discipleship. The Commission collaborates with the other Commissions whenever possible in implementing programs. The Stewardship Commission is comprised of four Committees:
* Stewardship Committee
* Parish Directory
* Grounds and Maintenance
* Building Committee
