St. Joseph School is blessed to have Bellefaire JCB conducting a Mental Wellness program for all students in the school. The program is provided to the school free of charge by the Lorain County Board of Mental Health. One day per week, Ms. Monica Yost, a therapist from the agency meets with all the classes K-4 and the upper hall on a rotating basis starting with the 8th grade for first quarter. The purpose of these services is to promote the positive social and emotional development of children and adolescents. In addition, Ms. Monica's efforts focus on preventing, identifying, treating and reducing the impact of mental health-related issues. The 2009-2010 school year will be the sixth year that St. Joseph has received these services.
