Welcome to Fourth Grade!
In the 3rd quarter, students are going to need shoe boxes. One is for a project, and the other for something we do in class. Over the holidays, if you or someone you know receives shoes, please save the boxes. Thank you.
If anyone is willing to donate paper towels or Clorox wipes to the classroom, it would be greatly appreciated :)

On Friday, October 2nd, Sister Noel came into the 4th grade class and taught a lesson about Saint Francis of Assisi. After reading The Canticle of the Sun, each student wrote a part of a canticle that we put together, to make a 4th Grade Canticle to praise the Lord:
4th Grade Canticle
Praised be You, Lord
for goats who give us cheese,
for turkeys who give us food,
and for trees that give is paper, oxygen, and shade.
Praised be You Lord
for brother pig who gives us yummy bacon and pork to eat,
for fire that gives us warmth,
and for bees who make flowers.
Praised be You, Lord
for flowers that make oxygen so we can breath,
for water that gives us drinks,
and for leopards who give us something to hunt.
Praised be You, Lord
for doves who provide us peace,
for buffalos who give us clothing and food,
and for deer who give us food.
Praised be You, Lord
for cows who give us milk,
for deer who provide us with venison and and outdoor activities that require stealth and accuracy,
and for rain that gives us water to drink.
Praised be You, Lord
for cats who give love and happiness, and provide loyalty for humans,
for alpacas who provide wool and clothing,
and for fire that gives us light and warmth.
Praised be You, Lord
for plants that provide us with medicines,
for hens that provide us with eggs,
and for fish who give us fish eggs and meat.
Praised be You, Lord
for dogs who provide us with love, companionship, and entertainment
for sheep who give us wool and clothes to wear,
and for rain that gives us water to live.
Praised be You, Lord
for horses who give us fertilizer and provide quick and enjoyable transportation,
for apple trees that give us apples to make apple juice, apple sauce, and apples,
and for crops that provide us with fresh food to eat.
Praised be You, Lord
for the earth that provides us a home and what we need,
for Jesus who gives us creatures and food,
and for God who provides shelter and everything.
