2/1 Sharing through Friendship: Uniform Day. Sharing snack time together in each grade level.

Catholic Schools Week is Here!
Start Catholic Schools week out by wearing your uniform to mass this weekend. The week will include Sharing through Charity, Patriotism, Faith, Friendship and School Spirit. Ending the week will be a Pep Assembly at 2:00 p.m. on Friday where Fr. Loc will get his head shaved! You don’t want to miss the fun!
Comet Zone is back…
The SJV Comet Zone will be opening on Wednesday, January 31st during Catholic Schools Week. School supplies/novelties/surprises available. Prices and further details will be announced soon.
Publishing Center
Congratulations to the first authors to publish books in the Village Voice this year! A Horse in the Woods by Emma Fowler, The T-Rex who Lived on an Island by Will Olds and The Treasure Chest Adventure by Allie Ouendag
These books will be on display in the library for the next few weeks. Be sure to check them out!"
Lent is fast approaching…
And so is Fish Fry! The first Fish Fry will be held on Friday, February 23rd, (4:30-7 pm,) in the Village Hall and will continue until Good Friday, April 6th, (3:30-6 pm.)

Dinner served at 7:00-Bring your appetite for the Dinner Buffet provided by E3 Bistro. Dancing shoes are a must!-Music provided by Hartman/Scott Enterprises. Come to support this SJV Haiti Commission fundraiser.
Tickets are $25/person, $45/couple and are available after all masses, via Kid-mail to Lisa Kernosky c/o Morgan 6-22 or can be purchased at the door. You must be 21 years of age to attend.

High School Placement Test
(HSPT) , Its not too late! The HSPT will be given on Saturday, January 27th at West Catholic High School. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m. with testing starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ending by noon. (Pre-school to 12th grade.) Parents are invited to attend a free workshop sponsored by Mercantile Bank and Catholic Secondary Schools to gain valuable insight on how to afford private education as well as tips for managing personal finances. This workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Mercantile Bank’s Main Office on Leonard Street next to 131. The St Paul the Apostle March Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is set for Saturday March 3. New this year are 4th grade boys and girls divisions. Open to all boy and girl players from 4th grade through 8th grade. A 3 point shoot- out and free throw contests have also been added and are open to anyone attending the tournament including parents, siblings, and friends!! The Tournament is limited to 44 teams, so enter early. Flyers sent home this week.
Campbell Soup Label Contest
Congratulations to Gr. 4 Olds/Tomaszek and Gr. 7 Dressander classes for getting the most box tops and Campbell UPC symbols? Also, "Congratulations go out to the Boguszewski, Goerge and Dressander classes for coming into a three way tie for the Make Your Own Sundae contest. These three classes turned in the most Tyson chicken labels. Great job everyone!"
What?! Your class hasn't won anything yet? Well, watch your Friday folder for the last contest of the year. In this contest, everyone can be a winner! The contest starts in February. Good luck SJV students!!!
