Fourth Grade News
Be sure to scroll down to find spelling words and 3RC directions!
o Religion: We had our monthly visit from Father Mike. Students always have great questions for him. 6th and 9th commandments.
o Reading: ‘Mom’s Best Friend‘, was a fascinating look into the training of dog guides. We also learned about other animals that assist people. Our skill was important/unimportant information. Did you enjoy the letter your student wrote to you?
o Spelling/Grammar: subject and object pronouns. We are having a few people getting into a bad habit of not turning in 3RC. This is a grade, and we need to be more careful to turn.
o Writing: Our next book report is on a biography. Some students have already finished their book! We will begin working on our ‘biography newsletters’ next Thursday, so EVERYONE should be done reading by Wednesday. Direction sheets for the ‘newsletter’ book report will go home Monday. We also completed our Design-an-Ad.
o Math: Chapter 7 testing complete! Yahoo!
Also this week: We all sported #5 (Albert Pujols) on Friday, looking great in our Cardinal red, Luke’s League T-shirts! Go Luke! You are always in our hearts, but wearing your picture on our chests, made us feel even closerJ
Another request: We would like to make a scrap book for Luke. If you can donate scrapbooking items, we would really appreciate it! They are needed by Wednesday. If you could help, we will work Wed. and Thurs. from 2-2:30.
