Dear Parents,
Hello! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Tomorrow, we will have a small Valentine’s Day gathering at 2:15. If you would like to help out with our Love Potion, please come in. This week, we will be learning about President Abraham Lincoln and how he was a Great Leader. If you have any books or pictures that would enhance our study, please bring in to share. On Wednesday at 2:00, we will be making a log cabin with pretzels. If you would like to help out, please come in. On Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30-3:00, I need some help to outline each student’s silhouette for a Future Leader’s Project. If you can help, please let me know.
Our Week:
Religion: Our faith focus will be on “Church is Good”. God’s people worship in church where God is present in a special way. Our school mass will be on Friday at 8:20.
Reading: Our letter for the week is the letter Kk. We will work with the initial and ending sound of the letter(Kite,sick). I have attached a homework sheet to be turned in by Friday. Today, we read the story called, Mud Fun. Please have your child read this to you each night. We have a new W.O.W. Word List to practice at home with. The students are really recognizing their words as they read.
Math: We will have a chapter test on Money on Tuesday. The students will identify the following coins and $1.OO bills(penny, nickel,dimes,and quarters). Our new chapter will be on Measurement.
Show and Tell on Friday.
President’s Day is on Monday-No School. Thank you for all your help!
