Physical Education Information (5^th-8^th)

Expectations and Rules

1.  Be on time to class and in your excercise group.

2.  Respect your classmates regardless of skill level or ability.

3.  Try your best.

4.  Keep the locker room clean and use appropriate behavior.

5.  Demonstrate good sportsmanship.

6.  Bring your PE shirt, shorts and gym shoes to PE class.

Dress Code

 1.  You will be expected to dree every PE class.

 2.  Only PE uniforms purchased through the school will be allowed.  Gym shoes are required (ones that have not been worn to school.)

3.  One free "No dress" will be given each quarter.  You wil still be expected to participate if you have proper gym shoes.

4.  2nd "no dress" in a quarter will result in a demerit.

5.  Students will lose participation points for not having PE uniform.

Grading


1.  20% Witten quizzes / assignments

2.  20%  Physical Testing (skills/fitness)

3.  20%  Game Participation

4.  40%   Points for participation (appropriate conduct, ie. respectful, good sportsmanship) / effort

 
Participation Points:  *Possible 5 points per day can be earned based on the following:

1 Point for "Dressing Out" and being on time

1 Point for exercises and warm-up routine

2 Points for appropriate participation and effort

1 Point for appropriate behavior in the class and locker room
