ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Adult Faith Formation provides us an opportunity to explore our Catholic faith with others, share our stories, reflect on our relationship to God, grow closer to God and develop in adults a better understanding of and participation in the full sacramental life of the Church.
St. Peter Claver parish has taken time to deepen our understanding of the Eucharist. Members of the parish have been a part of an adult faith-sharing program called Eucharist: Source and Summit of Life and Mission of the Church. We are extending that opportunity to you as well.
For six weeks, you will have the opportunity to grow in your understanding of the Eucharist along with others from our parish who come each week to celebrate this sacrament.
The six topics for discussion during 90-minute gatherings are:
1) History of the Eucharist
2) Liturgy of the Word: Introductory Rites
3) Liturgy of the Word: Proclamation of the Word of God
4) Liturgy of the Eucharist: Preparation and Eucharistic Narratives
5) Communion and Dismissal Rite
6) Eucharistic Devotions
Small groups will be meeting on the dates listed below. Others dates may be added later.
I want to encourage you to take advantage of this special time for yourself by drawing closer to Christ in the sacrament that he gave to us at the Last Supper. Through sharing your faith in a small group you may help someone else to grow in theirs.
I’m excited about this opportunity to focus on the Eucharist in conjunction with our diocesan initiative on the “Living Eucharist”. I encourage you and all the members of the parish to take advantage of it.
