Many programs are offered in the parish to help strengthen us as
individuals and as families. Resources and ongoing training of
catechists are provided to parishes so that our young people receive
the very best religious education and faith formation possible. Your
contributions to the annual Diocesan Development Fund make this happen.
Adult faith formation programs from Renew International, like "Why Catholic",
"Arise", and "Lifting Up Our Hearts", which fortify our faith are available to
every parish, in part, through the support of the DDF. Events like the
"Catholic Men's Night", Office of Family Ministry-sponsored "Family Movie Night",
and honoring the sacrament of marriage through the Diocesan Wedding
Anniversary Celebration enable us to deepen our love for Christ and
share this gift of love with others.

More than 40 building projects are currently taking place across the diocese.
Because you support the annual Diocesan Development Fund, these
parishes are saving significant dollars in fees they would normally spend
to hire project consultants and attorneys. By using the services of the
diocesan Development and Properties Office, the funds parishes raise
for building projects go directly for their facility needs.
Your support of the Diocesan Development Fund affords opportunities
throughout the year for youth from across our diocese to come together,
renew their Catholic faith, and celebrate their love of Christ and His love
for them. Through your generous gifts to the DDF, you are providing an
opportunity for God's love to grow in our youth, which then strengthens
each of our parishes.

Of the 86 parishes and missions in our diocese, few have all the
resources required to offer the variety of ministries and services needed
by their parishioners. Through your support of the DDF, all of our
parishes and missions have access to programs and services that
will enrich the lives of each of its members.
Each of us is part of a larger family, joined together to form one
Catholic Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau.
