Handing on our Catholic Faith to our children is one of the most important duties we have as parents. It is an obligation we accepted at the time of their birth and again at their Baptism. Thank you for letting our parish community assist you in this responsibility by registering your child in our Sunday Morning Religious Education program.
While our staff and teachers will do all they can to ensure that your child learns the basic tenets of our faith, it is only with your help and role modeling that we can succeed. Ultimately, you are primarily responsible for the on-going religious formation of your child, including regular attendance at Mass, reception of the sacraments, participating in the life of the parish, and ensuring that your child regularly attends religious education classes.
Sunday Morning Religious Education Classes for Students begin at
ü In accordance with Diocesan policy, any student who plans to receive First Communion or Confirmation in 2010 or after, must be enrolled in Sunday Religious Education the year before. In other words, students preparing for First Communion must have attended religious education during first and second grades and those receiving Confirmation must have attended religious education in the seventh and eighth grades.
ü Extenuating circumstances, such as transfers to the parish from other dioceses with differing requirements, etc. must be brought to the attention of one of the Directors of Religious Education at the earliest possible time.
ü Pre - registration for the 2009-2010 School year is underway. families pre-registering by July 30 will be offered a $10 discount. Registration will continue throughout the summer.
ü Fees: $50 for one child through July 1 ($60 thereafter)
$35 for each additional child.
