SATURDAY MORNINGS AT 10:00 AM ON FM 97.7
and co-host Tom Dorian as they engage a variety of guests in
conversation about the teachings of the Catholic Church. Each
week will premier a new, thirty-minute program focusing on one of
our Catholic beliefs.
Catholic Cafe has entered into a six month agreement with Supertalk 97.7 FM in Jackson Tennessee. This is a 50,000 watt station (ten times as powerful as wrec 600 a.m in Memphis) which covers almost all of the deanery outside of Shelby county, including Jackson, Dyersburg, Union City, Humboldt, Selmer, Covington, etc. Thus, between KWAM in Memphis, and Supertalk in Jackson, Catholic Cafe will have nearly complete coverage of the Diocese.
Catholic Cafe will air on Supertalk every Saturday at 10 a.m starting on Saturday November 1. Supertalk is a station geared towards evangelical Christians, but the station is very interested in airing Catholic Cafe, because a lot of their listeners are curious as to what the Catholic Church believes.
Bishop Steib visited the studio and recorded a show on the role of the Bishop in the Church. Bishop Steib's show will be the first one to air on both stations in November.
Catholic Cafe has also had phenomenal web success. Over thirty three thousand hits on the website. Podcasts of the program are ranked 114th out of all podcasts titled as Catholic programming. Visit http://www.thecatholiccafe.com/
