St. Anthony Catholic Church at 20428 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34601 US - Pastoral Council Minutes for April 5, 2006

Pastoral Council Minutes for April 5, 2006

Pastoral Council Minutes--April 5, 2006

Members present: Father Donlan, Ed Bowers, Ed Gear, Fran Nico, Tom Pitts, Mary Ann Scaglione, Sara Simpson, Ell Thomas

Excused members: Carmen Treulich, Jacob Dombrowski

The meeting opened with a prayer led by Ed Bowers.

The minutes of February 1, 2006 meeting were approved unanimously.

Fr. Donlan reviewed the process for the nominations and final selection of candiates chosen to be the next Pastoral Council Members. The following were chosen by the nominating committee, and accepted by the remaining members:
Iris Delgado, Margaret Jagger, Len Wydotis, term begins August, 2006. They will also be invited to the June meeting.
Alternates: Mary Elmer, Roy Cepedes, Sherrie Moore, term begins August, 2007.

Mary Ann Scaglione expressed the hope that our Greeters do not diminish in number during the summer. With that in mind, we will get in touch with Eileen Smith to get a substitute for her job while she's away.
There have been many favorable comments regarding Generations of Faith as another means of welcoming.

Youth:
It should be noted that a youth program is high on the priority list for St. Anthony Parish. Since Amy Acker's recent resignation, Sherrie Moore has once again stepped in to complete the remaining Youth meetings this year. Father Donlan is working on a Catechesis Model as a possible way of proceeding for next year's program. He is open to any suggestions and for that purpose will put a notice in the bulletin asking for parents' help and input.

The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.
