Christian Family Services DayStar Life Center DayStar provides emergency aid to clients and offers information and referrals to the city, state and government agencies. It is located on Hope Hill Road, 1/2 mile south of St. Anthony Church. DayStar accepts monetary donations, non-perishable food and/or furniture items.
This organization fosters love and charity through service and assistance to those who have material needs. It connects the parish's gifts with needs in the local community. Volunteers meet with the client to obtain pertinent information and determine the need.
A monetary collection takes place every second weekend of the month after all Masses. Volunteers stand outside the church doors to collect donations for Christian Family Services to help the needy in our community. If you would like to volunteer, call 797-4898.
Non-perishable food collection takes place at all Masses every third weekend of the month. Barrels are placed outside the church doors in which parishioners can place their donations before they enter for Mass. This collection is donated to DayStar Life Center to assist the needy in our community. If you would like to volunteer, call 799-5930.
