What is $CRIP? $CRIP is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase $CRIP, you're purchasing prepaid cards/certificates that are used just like cash. You can use $CRIP to purchase such everyday items as groceries, gas, clothing, prescriptions, and toys, as well as other essentials. How does $CRIP generate revenue? The gift certificates are purchased at a discount and resold to you at full face value. The discount revenue is retained by $CRIP, and at the end of the school year, 60% of the revenue generated by your personal purchases is returned to you as a tuition rebate for the following year. The remaining 40% of the revenue is allocated to the parish/school. A family must generate a minimum of $100 in rebate revenue to receive a tuition rebate. Purchase Example: Martins--5% $200 x .05=$10.00 Barnes & Noble--9% $ 50 x .09=$4.50 Osco--4% $ 70 x .04=$2.80 Total= $22.30 applied to your minimum rebate revenue Once you’ve hit your $100 mark, which is very easy to do, your rebate accumulates quite quickly. This is a win-win situation for you and for our parish. How and when do I purchase $CRIP? $CRIP can be purchased in the church vestibule during the following times: Before School After School After all weekend masses (excluding Christmas and Easter weekends) Orders may be sent to school with your student. The student must give the order to his/her teacher. The teacher sends the order to the office. The order is filled, given back to the teacher, and sent home with the child the same day. Just complete the top of the order form with the child’s name, teacher and grade, and sign the form. The order will not be sent home without a parent signature. For non-school families: Complete an order form and present it along with your payment. Cash or checks are acceptable and payable to St. Anthony $CRIP at the time of order. Which merchants are available? All in-stock merchants are listed on the front of the order form. The special order merchants are listed on the back of the order form (or you can get a form from the $CRIP Ladies). Special orders must be placed by How are my purchases tracked? Upon completion of the $CRIP enrollment form, you will be assigned a tracking number. Your purchases are tracked by recording this number on your order form. It is important that your form is completed accurately as it ensures that you receive full credit for your purchases. In July, you will receive your tuition payment letter along with your $CRIP rebate. This rebate is deducted from your tuition. For those with without school children, the rebate can support the parish tuition assistance program or assist a particular family. Ask how when you purchase $CRIP. Families not returning to St. Anthony’s will not be issued a rebate check for cash. Only families with 8th graders remaining at St. Anthony’s, who continue to purchase $CRIP throughout the school year, may be able to have their rebate forwarded St. Joseph High School or Marian High School. $CRIP Hints: Have family and friends purchase $CRIP using your tracking number. Place large or special orders by Sunday to guarantee timely delivery. Remember teachers and staff on special occasions with a $CRIP of Choice certificate.
