St. Augustine Secular Franciscan Order at 221 37th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 US - Home
We are secular Franciscans. More specifically, we are members of the Roman Catholic Church's Secular Franciscan Order. We are not to be confused with cloistered monks/nuns who have taken the 3 vows of poverty, chastity an obedience. Rather, we are men and women immersed in the world like everybody else. Many of us are married with families, some of us are single. But we are brothers and sisters to one another who follow a Gospel-based rule, that has its origins in the life and teachings of St. Francis of Assisi.
