At St. Bede Child Development Center we feel that programs should provide a place for every child to be free to play, explore and imagine in the course of a child-oriented day. The children come to us with a sense of wonder and investigation. It is our responsibility to provide an environment that leads them from wonder to discovery and from investigation to affirmation. We strive to create a climate which develops self-confidence and fosters a creative approach to problem solving and learning. In a Christian Center, as the children discover and explore their daily environment, they find a loving, caring God who is called Father. Our staff strives to create this climate in a loving faith community by respecting and caring for one another in their daily activities.
In order to develop the WHOLE child our program strives:
v To meet the individual needs of the young child in a planned Catholic education environment aware of spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, physical and aesthetic development.
v To extend an integrated day to encompass the whole life of the child during the early formative years of exploration and discovery.
v To offer a curriculum that provides the best tools to ensure that all of your child’s educational and developmental needs are met to ensure security for their future educational endeavors.
v To recognize the child as a creative individual having certain innate tendencies, potentialities of traits, as well as rights and privileges, duties, and responsibilities.
v To give the child opportunity to work and play independently, to learn to live effectively with others, to develop a sense of identity and to experience success.
v To provide a religious education program that compliments parent’s efforts to provide Christian attitudes, values and experiences.
