The snapshot you see on the top was taken at the Academic Fair of 2012. The students worked hard on their projects. They did a fine job in their presentations as well. We are proud of them.
In their regular science classes, the seventh and eighth grade are studying the periodic table and will soon be into studying atomic structure and chemical bonds. The sixth grade is working with electricity and magnetism and will soon be studying the property of waves.
The seventh graders are working in two different math books. One group is working with percent and fractions while the other group is working with real numbers and right triangles. The seventh graders are also using Math Facts in a Flash as well as Accelerated Math. The algebra students are about to finish a chapter on quadratic equations and functions.
In math, the sixth grade is at present working with geometric figures. They are also working with Math Facts in a Flash. Some have already mastered all 50 levels. They also do Accelerated Math. We use that mostly as a review of and an extention of skills.
If your child needs extra help in the areas of science or math. please let me know and we'll set up a schedule for that help. If you have any questions, please stop by to see me or give me a call.
