St. Bernadette of Lourdes Parish (Stanton) at 911 E Main St, Stanton, MI 48888 US - Putting Our Faith Into Action

Faith is a supernatural gift that can neither be bought nor earned. It can only be responded to with works of love and service. The parish of St. Bernadette bears the deposit of this faith to proclaim the living presence of Christ. As one family in God, we are called to reflect with our lives the Paschal mystery both in sacrifice and in the Resurrection. The parish is a family where everyone feels welcome. It is not only a haven for saints, it is also a refuge for sinners. The poor, the needy and the rich. There are joys and sorrows; we sing, we pray, we cry and we grieve. It is a place where we are participants and not observers; we rise above divisions to embrace the mission we share. Over the years, we have each experienced kindness and goodwill in our parish family. Their generosity is both a legacy and a challenge to the contemporary generation. People shall not believe that we are in the Spirit except they behold in us the fruits of the Spirit. It is also a church whose identity is challenged by the circumstances of each passing day both from within and outside. Nevertheless, no storm can shake our inner-most calm while to that rock we're clinging, since love is lord of heaven and earth, how can we cease from singing? At the eucharistic table, we are fed and filled with life so we may discover authentic ways of sharing the responsibility of the Gospel. Our efforts are celebrated with each mind that is opened, each life that is touched and each heart that explodes with the discovery of the profound love of Jesus Christ. Each family is important and cherished. With the opportunity of knowing each other, may we all recognize Christ in each other. May we cherish every moment as we make this journey bearing in mind that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
