Divorce and Beyond Divorce changes every area of peoples lives, including their spirituality. Therefore we feel the need of a program designed for divorcing Christians. Because they will look at God, the Church, the Sacraments and prayer from a new perspective, they may need help in understanding these changes in their lives. Many Christians have found the special help they need in a group of people who not only are experiencing similar pain and suffering, but who also share their religious philosophy. Divorce and Beyond is a program for people who are already divorced or have filed for divorce. It examines what happens to most people going through the total break-up of their marriage. It helps divorced people to understand what they are going through and to realize that others have gone through the same process. Finally it suggests activities for making the difficult time of divorce, a growth experience. The program asks that you commit yourself to nine sessions. During this time you and other participants will share insights gained from your experience and from the accompanying reading materials. We are confident that this program will be a helpful guide. We are also happy to announce that due to the requests of previous participants who have completed the initial nine sessions, we now have an on-going Divorced and Beyond Support Group.
