St. Bernard School was opened September 1929 as a parish school for Grades 1-5 under the direction of the Holy Cross Sisters. For the past 70+ years the school has been providing quality Catholic eduction to the students of St. Bernard Parish as well as students from the surrounding area. It is located in the Melrose section of the City of Oakland.
