Youth Ministry Coordinator: Dave Mendrea. Elementary Coordinator: Carol Jasso. Phone: 754-3196. Sections: 1. Sunday Morning, we have a nursery (ages 1-3), preschool (age 4), and Kindergarten (age 5). We use age appropriate curricula to offer an early introduction to our Catholic Faith. Adult volunteers, as well as youth ages 12 and older, are welcome to help in this important ministry.
2. Tuesday Evening Classes: These classes are for grades 1-8 and are held 6:30-8:00 PM from the end of September through April. We offer a comprehensive and developmental coverage of basic teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith. The content is completely correlated to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Grade 8 celebrates the Sacrament of Confirmation which is held every year at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids. Adult volunteers and youth ages 12 and older are welcome to help in this vital ministry. We offer special assistance for those who need to "catch-up" in religious education and sacramental preparation.
3. Senior High: We meet on Sunday evenings September through April for grades 9-12. These weekly sessions prepare young people to meet the challenges of today's world with age appropriate instruction. 4. RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process the Catholic Church uses to welcome people into the Catholic Faith. Various formats are tailored to various needs. If you are interested in joining the Catholic Faith, please call the parish office (754-4194).
5. Scripture Study: St. Jerome wrote, "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." The goal of the Scripture study is to introduce participants to the Sacred Scripture. St. Charles parish offers many opportunities to study sacred scripture. Please check the bulletin, church announcements, and this website for offerings.
