Good St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus and spouse of the Virgin Mary, Our heavenly Father entrusted to your care His Holy Family on earth. Protect our parish family of St. Edward. Ask Jesus, whom you faithfully watched over as a child, to grant us your spirit of generous stewardship, so that our Capital Campaign might be a success unto God’s glory and the service of this faith community ‘built of living stones.’ Amen ~ PRAY FOR PEACE ~ One minute each night during WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate: Each evening at 9 pm (Eastern), 8 pm (Central), 7 pm (Mountain), 6 pm (Pacific) time, stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world. It has been said that if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
A new way to socialize with your parish family...on the first Sunday of each month. We will offer “Coffee and Donuts” in the gym after the 8 am Mass. It is our hope that all parishioners, both established and new will come, mingle, and get to know each other! See you on June 1, 2008

A country that accepts abortion is not teaching people to love, but rather to use violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of peace is abortion. ~Mother Theresa
