MOTHER’S DAY OUT PROGRAM IS FOR YOU!

About Mother’s Day Out (MDO)

MDO is a ministry of St. Francis of Assisi’s Religious Education Department. It is created to give parents some much needed time off and to teach children about God’s love through planned, structured and balance activities. Our program has a financial responsibility for operational expenses, which are covered by contributions, donations and tuition from parents. We require this, even if your child is out sick or on vacation, to function on a regular and consistent basis.

Sessions

We utilize many different types of activities and learning experiences, such as Bible stories, crafts, participatory games and instruction in basic skills. We work on a school readiness program, with activities related to exploring letter, numbers, shapes and colors. Your child will benefit and grow by interaction with other children and by taking instruction from the leaders. Social skills will be enhanced and children will learn about the God who made them and the world they live in.

Sign-In Policy

MDO starts at 9:00am. You may bring your child in at 8:55am, but please do not bring them earlier (please tell dad, too!) Make sure you pick-up no later than 12:20pm, in consideration of the leaders, as they need to prepare their lessons for the next day.

Health

No medication will be administered by MDO. Your child will not be allowed to attend a session if they have any of the following symptoms as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics: fever, sore throat, rash, any skin or eye infection, excessively runny nose, vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of class. We know this will help you feel better about leaving your healthy child with us.

Fingerprinting

The Diocese of Orlando requires that all parents/guardians or relatives be fingerprinted to enable you to participate in any way in your child’s MDO program.

Mother’s Day Out Program Schedule

3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

For children 3 and 4 years old
From 9:00am – 12:15pm
