The Ilona “Rusty” Koscicki Memorial Fund |
Through the generosity of the family of Ilona Koscicki, better known as “Rusty,” a fund has been established here at St. Francis of Assisi to carry on her legacy of helping families and individuals participate in society and grow in faith.
About "Rusty"
Ilona, "Rusty," to everyone who knew her, was born in Marburg, Germany in 1946, and moved to the United States when she was 10 years old. She met Dennis Koscicki in 1961, and they were married in 1967. They had their first child, Kenneth, in 1970. In 1973 their second child, Heidi, was born. The Koscickis were married for 39 years.
Rusty was a very devoted wife and mother. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She was fortunate to have witnessed the births of her three grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden and Grayson. She was thrilled to have been a grandmother and enjoyed spoiling her grandkids.
Rusty left us too quickly, but not without leaving a part of herself behind in each of those she touched. She is missed and thought of every day. Her memory will live on in those that love her, especially her three grandchildren who will never really know what a wonderful and giving person she was. Rusty passed away on November 7, 2006.
