Welcoming New Parishioners |
Periodically we welcome our new Parishioners by introducing them to the congregation and presenting them with a gift from the parish. This gift includes a small loaf of bread, some salt, a bottle of wine, a poem and family tickets to the Men’s Club Breakfast all in a small basket. The poem written by a parishioner explaining the significance of each of these items is: Wine is a gesture of friendship from the heart It’s just a taste and only a start. Bread is a symbol of kinship and nourishment We share it with you in fellowship and encouragement. Salt is for taste and preservation We welcome you without reservation. Please accept this basket and consider what it contains For when it is gone, our community still remains. Eric Hakel We will be welcoming two new families on February 18, 2007.
