An organizational meeting was held on November 4, 1983 at the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Purcell Council #2798 to discuss the formation of a Ladies Auxiliary to help support and promote Saint Isaac Jogues Assembly. On that evening five ladies Charlotte Beebe, Diana Serwas, Mary Watkins, Kate Willing, Kay Looby, and Dorothy Meisman drafted a litter outlining the Auxiliary’s Missions to the wives of our assembly. This letter extended an invitation to all the wives of those active in the assembly to attend a formation meeting on January 20th, 1984 at Saint Rita’s School for the Deaf. As it was a success, their primary mission became uniting its membership into a sisterhood to achieve: 1) A circle of fraternal friends. 2) To centralize all their resources to better help one another. 3) To be a greater force to contend with the pursuit of good in our society. 4) To provide support and assistance to the Sir Knights of the assembly, by achieving their mission of patriotism to the Flag of Our Nation, the Catholic Church, and Our Country. Their secondary mission is one of encouragement to its members for the total development and the fostering of growth in every aspect of life (Spiritual, Social, and Charitable) ending in a more fulfilling life.
