St. Joseph's is a vibrant and growing parish located in Moorhead, MN, and is part of the diocese of Crookston. Currently we have nearly 1,700 parish families.
Our parochial school, St. Joseph’s School, has been serving the area for over 125 years. The school is jointly operated with St. Francis de Sales Parish in north Moorhead. St. Joseph’s School currently provides quality Catholic education to about 250 students in preschool through eighth grade. Small class sizes, impressive test scores and a welcoming, faith-filled environment make our school a great choice!
We are a stewardship parish, which means that giving of time and talent is essential to the life of our community. There are over 100 ministries currently active, from folding mailings in the parish office to singing in a choir or helping out at the local food pantry.
Our church building was built in 1952 and from May 2004 to March 2005 we undertook the first large-scale renovation of the church since its construction. In the spring of 2009 we finished a major addition to our school/religious education center and added an adoration chapel and a new meeting room, the Holy Family room.
Most importantly, Jesus is at the center of our parish and everything that we do revolves around the Eucharist, which as the Church teaches, is the “source and summit” of our Catholic faith. Take some time to browse our website and learn more about our community!
