In an effort to recognize parish service and involvement, the St. John of the Cross Pastoral Council will be presenting Annual J.C. Award at the parish anniversary celebration . Nominations for the award are being accepted from parishioners. The criteria are as follows: 1. Registered parishioner of St. John of the Cross for a minimum of 5 years. 2. Actively involved in at least two ministeries, and 3. Nominated by tree parishioners.

REFLECTING ON THE JC AWARD
Our Parish JC award is unique in itself. It belongs only to St. John of the Cross Parish. It cannot be duplicated by anyone else. The framework of the award consists of a cross, a vine , and a flower.
The cross represents Jesus, Our Loving Lord.
The vine represents our parish community, growing, entwining itself around Jesus, and striving to get closer to Him, by following His teachings of faith, hope and love
The flower at the junction of the cross represents not only this years recipients of the awards, who have given unselfishly throughout these years, of their time and talents, and those who we are not aware of, that have quietly given of themselves to our parish.
