Guys, we are in the middle of fish fry season! The first one was successful, so let’s keep up the good work and make sure the other two are just as good.
Also there is a big push for the Knights in our district to work the Special Olympics in Hammond on Memorial Day weekend. The Knights are running the Bocce ball pits for the weekend. If you are interested please let me know and I will get you in touch with the guy in charge.
We are coming up on the time of year again to elect new officers. If you are interested in being an officer please see Max Keller for more information.

Brothers,
Our first fish fry is in the books and it was a good evening. We served 719 dinners but that was down 100 dinners from fish fry #1 last year. I think the potential of bad weather that was reported for days prior to Friday scared some people off. Luckily we had no bad weather until around 10 when we were leaving the hall. Regardless, it was a good fish fry and we are blessed that we get the support we do. We had a great turnout early to get after the potatoes so that went well. We were a little short handed on the serving line but someone would show up right at a critical time to fill a spot. This is why we say come when you can for as long as you are able because those guys jump in when others need a break. All the comments on the fish and shrimp were very positive so the prep and fry teams did their usual great job. I told you we were using a new supplier for our seafood, Louisiana Seafood Exchange, who really gave us a great deal. I was impressed when the owner came to the fish fry with his family to support us and make sure we were satisfied with his product. He said they really enjoyed their meals.
Next fry is March 8th with prep on March 7th, so make plans to attend and work hard to bring in customers. We need strong showings at the next 2 events to make it a great year.

Fish Fry Time!
We are gearing up for fish fry season. Please remember to make plans to attend on February 22nd, March 8th and 22nd. Prep night will be Thursday before each fry. Spread the word and get the family, friends, and neighbors out. We are going to try something different this year. We will target certain groups like the Heart Hospital and the Nursing Home and offer delivery for orders over 10 dinners. If you have a contact in a similar group let us know.
We will have a Saturday work party soon to clean the equipment and the cook shack. We need to get the signs out and ready to place. Watch for an email when we set the date and time.
Youth Director
Thanks to all who came out to help with the toy drive. It was a huge success!
Community Director
If anyone is interested in purchasing a Knights of Columbus shirt, please bring your money to the meeting as this will be the only time I will collect money and purchase the shirts. Please see attachment for shirt information.
