... follow the motto on which this parish was founded in 1984. After the example of Christ our motto was adopted: "We are here not to be served but to serve."
Our Organization's History
In June of 1984, Archbishop Philip M. Hannan announced the erection of St. John of the Cross Parish in Lacombe, Louisiana. On August 6th, 1984, ground breaking ceremonies were held. Constuction began in November 1984, and on Saturday, November 16th, 1985, the people of God entered their house of worship for the first time.
