Hi Everyone,                                                                             September 10, 2007

We wanted to take this opportunity to refresh everyone’s memory and inform new families of all of our easy, money-making programs that you can be a part of all year round.

Kroger Neighborhood Reward Program:  It’s easy.  Every family should have a reloadable Kroger Neighborhood Reward Program gift card.  (New families will be getting theirs in their envelope today.  Each card is already loaded with $4 so don’t through it away!)  If you’re not new but need a card because yours is misplaced, contact Lisa Roetting at 512-5221 or by email at JBLUE24@insightbb.com .  If you have friends or relatives that would like to help us raise money, request a card for them too!  When you shop at Kroger, before the cashier starts your order, reload your Kroger Neighborhood Reward card for any amount up to $250.  Load it using cash, credit card or check.  Every time you reload your card, our school earns money.  When our school, as a group, accumulates $5000 in purchases, which now includes fuel (excluding services such as money orders, lottery tickets, etc.) we earn 4% or $200!  This program has been a great success.  Last school year we raised over $1500.  Please leave the sticker on your card.  This alerts the cashier that it is a reloadable card so they will return it to you even if it’s empty so you can reload on your next visit.

Do you shop at Target?  If you shop at Target and use a Target card to pay for your purchases, you can select our school to benefit from your shopping.  Target donates to our school 1% of Target® Visa® and Target Guest Card® purchases made at Target and target.com, and ½% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere.  We earned $60 last year.  Go online to www.Target.com to select our school to benefit from your purchases.  This program has an opening for a coordinator.  If interested, contact Lisa Roetting

Meijer Community Rewards Program:  This program has been really profitable for us too.    Your Meijer purchases help earn money for our school.  Last year we earned $490.  Due to changes in their program, Meijer is requiring all participants to re-sign.  New information is enclosed in your envelope today (our school code number is 445324) This program has an opening for a coordinator.  If interested, contact Lisa Roetting

SCRIPS: Our school and parish are also involved in this very profitable program.  Buy SCRIPS certificates to give to people as gifts or buy for your everyday use at popular stores, restaurants and more.  For questions about this program contact Toni Prodoehl at 635-1993.

Box Tops for Education Program:  Anything you see a box top logo on, clip and save it.  Each box top is worth 10¢.  Last year we earned $856.  Go to www.boxtops4education.com  and sign up for the Box Tops Booster Club.  Our school gets bonus box tops for anyone who signs up.  You’ll get special perks like valuable printable coupons for your favorite Box Tops brands and recipes.  Watch for bonus box tops offers throughout the year too.  Contact Lisa Roetting with questions.

We have a Goal Chart that we use to track the collection of our Box Tops.  Each family has a goal.  We just do this for fun and to see if we can beat the previous year’s collection efforts.  This year our chart will only reflect Box Tops (not Tyson as in the past).  About once a month you’ll see an update of our goal progress in your envelope.  If you have 1 student in St. Joseph’s, your goal is 20 box tops a month; goal for 2 student families is 25 and goal for 3+ student families is 35.  Put your logos in an envelope/baggie addressed to Lisa Roetting.  If you send in more than your monthly amount, they will automatically roll over to your next month’s total.  We are going to keep our goal for this year the same as it was for last year.  We did meet and exceed our goal last year so let’s see if we can do it again.  Our goal is going to be 7665 box tops.  5250 of that amount is figured on the family goals.  Even though this letter didn’t make it out until September, I had a lot of box tops sent in during August so I calculated our goal including August.  The other 2415 part of the goal will be called our “Above and Beyond” goal.  This will include any box tops we collect from the parish and serve as an overflow when a family reaches their individual goal.  (We save all year long but need to make our submission by Feb 28 to receive a yearly check.)

Project A+ logos from Tyson Chicken products:  We receive 24¢ for each logo!  Remember to cut off the whole logo including the part that says 1,2,3.  This program has an opening for a coordinator.  If interested, contact Lisa Roetting

Funding Factory Laser and Inkjet Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling Program:  This is another big money-maker.  It’s easy also.  Last year we earned $450.  Just send in your empty laser and inkjet cartridges and old cell phones.  (no toner cartrideges)  Also if you know a business that would like to help our school, they can sign up for the Business Support Program.  Go to www.fundingfactory.com and click on Business Support and register.  Our organization’s ID is #11760.  By doing so they will receive UPS prepaid shipping boxes to use for their returns.  All they do is pack the box and leave with their normal UPS packages for pickup.  We currently have two businesses supporting us but would love to have more.

County Market: We’re trying to cover as many stores as possible and all your purchases so the next store on our list is County Market.  Last year we earned $695.  If you shop at County Market, save your receipts and send them in to school marked “County Market Receipts” or drop them in the box in the back of church. For every $1,000 spent, we receive $10 back. We receive a check every quarter. Receipts cannot be over 6 months old.

Campbell’s Labels for Education:  We save Campbell’s LFE to redeem for products for our school.  Watch for the Labels for Education logo on a number of Campbell’s, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, V8, Prego and Pace products.  Also watch for LFE on your Market Day products.  Send them into school with Campbells written on the envelope.

We also have a Market Day. Purchase from a variety of foods and a percentage goes to our school.  If interested in helping this coming school year or have further questions, please contact Denise Schack @ 635-3230.  Last year we earned over $1200!

If you ever shop at Remke Markets you can help our school by doing so.  When you shop at Remke, sign up for the Caring Neighbors Program.  (Sign Up form included in envelope)  Every time you shop, have the cashier scan your card and our school receives a percentage of all purchases made. This program has an opening for a coordinator.  If interested, contact Lisa Roetting

One last thing that you can do to help.  When you are on the internet searching for driving directions or helping your child do research for a report, please type in www.goodsearch.com (powered by Yahoo) as your search engine.   Select St Joseph Elementary School (Camp Springs, KY) as the school you are supporting and our school earns one cent for each search.

If you have any questions concerning any of the above programs, contact Lisa Roetting at 512-5221 or email at jblue24@insightbb.com and we will get you the information you need or put you in contact with the correct program coordinator.  Thank you for your help!
