TODAY IS THE THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY
IN ORDINARY TIME

Introduction to the Liturgy of the Day
The Holy Spirit summons us here today to praise and thank God even to the very end of time. When history comes to an end, we will know God’s glory even as heaven and earth pass away. Contemplating that vision, we are reminded today of the task that lies before us as faithful disciples of our Risen Savior. So let our prayer today be one of confidence and thanksgiving that even in our darkest hour God will stay with us and never abandon us.

Pray especially for: Ruth Farrelly, Richard Bellino, Sharon Kumnick, Richard Blodgett, Valerie Lundberg, Erica, Grace Mulhearn, Helen Antiuk, Judi Schaller, and Edgar Webber.

Annual Bake Sale for the Windsor Fuel Bank—Thank you for your support of our bake sale held last weekend. Thanks to your generosity $819 was donated to the Windsor Fuel Bank.
Monthly Food Collection—This weekend is the monthly food collection to benefit the Windsor Food Bank. Requested items for November are: stew, baked beans, chili, soup & crackers. In addition we have been made aware of the need for plastic or paper grocery bags for distributing the food—if you have extras lying around, please donate them as well.
Giving Tree—The annual Giving Tree will be available beginning the weekend of November 28/29 with tags for purchasing specifically requested gifts for children in need. Please choose a tag with a gift you are comfortable purchasing (a substitution leaves a child possibly without that one special gift on his/her list). Gifts will be due back on the weekend of December 12/13 for donation to and distribution by the Windsor Family Services.
Collection for the Troops—As a tradition the last several years, paper t-shirts will also be available on the Giving Tree to be returned with your donation to enable us to continue to send packages to the troops in harm’s way. These packages are so appreciated and the words of thanks and photos we receive throughout the year are bountiful.

For more information on how you can participate in even a small way in Social Action at Saint Joseph Parish, contact Joan Alutto at 683-2056 or jalutto@comcast.net.
